About Us
Team Humanity at Verticals equips young people in Fayette County to turn skills into income. Through entrepreneurship sprints, robotics & emerging tech, paid summer work, and community wellness, we deliver hands-on learning that leads to real opportunities.
Our Founder
Founded by Will James, a 10-year NFL veteran, Team Humanity builds programs where youth learn, practice, and get paid for real work.
Our History
Over the last 10 years, Team Humanity at Verticals has delivered 2080 hours of hands-on learning to 453 youth in Fayette County—launching 4 student ventures, fielding 3 robotics teams, and creating 42 paid youth positions through our Summer Work program. Partners include Rivers of Steel, Fay Penn, local districts, and community mentors.
Our Future
From 2025–2027, we’ll expand what works and increase access:

Summer Workforce Lab: Serve more youth/year, add paid shifts, industry-standard safety and quality training.

Entrepreneurship Sprints: 4 cohorts/year, micro-grants for prototypes, public showcases with local judges.

Robotics & Emerging Tech: [2] competition teams, CAD/3D printing pipeline, community demo days.

Access & Inclusion: Transportation support, stipends, and no-cost seats for priority students.
